One program that is sponsored by the World Health Organizations is that of Children’s Environmental Health. This program is extremely important because it has been shown that children fatalities under 5 years old were attributed a lot to the environment. Majority of deaths were due to respiratory infections and issues. As we know, air pollution has been getting worse so this would be something important to evaluate. Other environmental risks that pose a threat to children include water sanitation, hazardous chemicals, and climate changes. WHO believes that by reducing environmental risks, it would save 1 in 4 children.
Whenever children are involved, it saddens me that it takes forever to address issues that affect them the most. It's like people in power forgot that they were once children and that one reason they are where they are now could be due to their healthy environment in which they grew up in. Again, it takes several years and steps before environmental risks are addressed. It can get super frustrating when company owners and government officials play dumb to science and research.

We should start introducing our next generation of leaders to these complex topics so they can start seeing how many things are working around them. I believe that we should be giving everyone as much information as we can so they can make the most informed decision.
